allodynia is pain felt with non-painful stimuli
affects 15-50% of people with neuropathic pain

Types of allodynia
dynamic allodynia (mechanical):
pain results from an object such as clothing moving across your skin
tactile allodynia (static or cutaneous allodynia):
pain results from a gentle touch or pressure on your skin
thermal allodynia:
pain results from a mild change in temperature
