HOWEVER, there is a substantial move AWAY from using CHADS2 score to the newer
CHA2DS2-VASc score for determining stroke risk in patients with non-valvular AF
as the CHADS2 score of 0 does not accurately assign risk given that significant risk occurs in those aged > 64yrs, and in women.
