Investigation
rectal swabs for
sexually transmitted infections (STDs/STIs)
syphilis and HIV serology
sigmoidoscopy with rectal biopsy
+/- Ix as per
coeliac disease
exclude hypotension / ischaemic / radiation cause
Treatment
treat as per cause
