• presumed coronary artery related causes of raised troponin picture consistent with acute myocardial infarction (AMI/STEMI/NSTEMI) but with minimally obstructed coronary arteries on angiography but excludes myocardial causes and type 2 “NSTEMI” events such as PE, shock, RAF.
• appears to have similar 12 month prognosis to AMI patients with 1 or 2 vessel disease ¹⁾

• with minimally obstructed coronary arteries on angiography:

    • coronary dissection
    • plaque disruption
    • coronary spasm
    • microvascular dysfunction
    • coronary thrombus or embolus
