• During ACV, breaths can be triggered by the patient's inspiratory effort or the ventilator.
• Each breath is delivered with the set tidal volume and flow.
• The work of breathing can be excessive when the peak flow or trigger sensitivity is insufficient
• The usual trigger sensitivity on the LTV 1200 ventilator is set to 3Lpm.
